Designed by Gino Cenedese or Antonio Barbini in Murano, Italy some time in the 1950's to 1960's. This beautiful seashell shaped bowl features a swirled rose bud like accent and has rolled edge. The top glass is a lovely peach lustre and the glass cased underneath is a rich butterscotch. The pontil has been ground and polished to produce a flat surface for the base.
This bowl weighs about 1 lbs 11 oz, and measures about 7.5" x 6", and is just about 3" tall to the top edge. It is in excellent vintage shape with only some minor scuffing on the surface common due to age and wear.
