This is a 5 day Prince Edward Island tour on mostly quiet paved roads. There are some options to substitute the Confederation Trail in busy traffic areas. Ride from your B&B in Charlottetown to Stanhope on the north shore. After a night near the water, follow the shoreline through PEI National Park for additional nights in St. Peter’s Bay and Montague, then cycle back to Charlottetown on this Prince Edward Island biking tour.
Day 1 – Travel Day (Arrive in Charlottetown, PEI)
This is a day to travel to PEI, flying or driving. An overnight stay in Charlottetown is included on Day 1.
Day 2 – Cycle from Charlottetown to Stanhope/Covehead Bay 45 km
Leave you luggage behind for transfer to your evening lodging. Your ride will take you to the North Coast. Your inn is located with a view of the sea and the Prince Edward Island National Park located along the seashore.
Day 3 – Covehead Bay to St. Peter’s Bay 64 km
Start the morning by following along the coastline on the National Park road. At Tracadie you have an option of road or enjoy a beautiful ride into St. Peter’s Bay on a 10 km section of the Confederation Trail. Enjoy a stay in St. Peter’s at a small inn.
Difficulty: 1 – 3 with some hills ending at 18 km marker if you join the flat trail.
Day 4 – St. Peter’s Bay to Montague 35 km
This is a short day directly to Montague but our cyclists can add distance by taking the long way around the shoreline to Georgetown, Cardigan and finally Montague.

Day 5 – Montague to Charlottetown 55 km
Ride today back to Charlottetown on a mixture of quiet roads and short sections of main roads. After a day of cycling enjoy your final night in Charlottetown

Note: This tour is designed for cycling on roads. The Confederation Trail is an option from busy roads in some areas. This option can be selected by our cyclists as they go through their cycling day.
